Parenting teenagers is one of the most rewarding and demanding seasons of family life. The opportunity to influence your children is shorter than many parents realise, creating pressure to always make the right decisions while navigating changing relationships, growing independence and everyday challenges. Many parents become weary, isolated or reluctant to share what is happening at home because they fear judgement or believe they should cope alone.
At Radiant Family Life, we believe the Church should be the village that walks alongside families. Thriving with Teens Life Group creates a safe, grace-filled community where parents can openly share experiences, encourage one another and discover practical ways to navigate this important stage together. Rather than waiting until problems become overwhelming, we believe in supporting families early by sharing wisdom, strengthening relationships and helping parents grow in confidence before difficulties become crises.
Parenting Like God, For God And With God
Our mission is to help parents raise teenagers through Kingdom principles while protecting their own spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing. We encourage parents to keep Christ at the centre of family life, trusting God's timing while faithfully sowing seeds of faith into the next generation. Each meeting combines practical parenting skills with biblical encouragement.
Together we explore subjects including building healthy family routines, having meaningful faith conversations, encouraging positive friendships, supporting mental wellbeing, creating healthy nutrition habits, managing everyday family life and developing practical skills that strengthen relationships. We also believe parenting should never become a burden carried alone. Our group reminds one another to "not grow weary in doing good," creating a place where grace replaces perfection and prayer remains central to everything we do.
A Practical Life Group Built Around Busy Families
Thriving with Teens meets every other week for a focused 45-minute session designed to fit around busy family life while providing genuine encouragement and practical value. Each gathering begins with coffee, conversation and opportunities to connect before spending time together in prayer. Guided discussions allow parents to honestly share what has gone well, what has been challenging and where they need support from others who understand the journey.
Every session also includes practical parenting tips covering communication, routines, emotional wellbeing, healthy lifestyles and everyday family life, alongside a Scripture of the Week to encourage spiritual growth. We finish by sharing prayer requests in a safe and respectful environment, allowing everyone to receive support without pressure to share more than they feel comfortable discussing. Whether you're parenting confidently or facing difficult seasons, this group exists to remind you that you're not alone.

By learning from one another, sharing experiences and growing together in faith, parents can develop the confidence and practical tools needed to guide their teenagers through life's challenges.
